Print, laminate and die-cut in one pass
The web is printed, laminated, die-cut on the magnetic rotary station and rewound in the same pass.
In intermittent mode the repeat length is variable, from 20 to 460 mm on the 182T cylinder. The press can also run full rotary at one fixed repeat of 577.85 mm, the circumference of the 182T cylinder, at up to 80 m/min. The cylinder size is fixed for each machine and specified when you order.
Runs on Self-adhesive labels, product labels, cosmetic, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, multi-colour stickers, laminated labels and premium brand work.

Speed by repeat length
Maximum output with the 182T cylinder, from the FX-450 speed chart.
Up to a 300 mm repeat the press runs at its maximum 200 rpm. Longer repeats hold 60 m/min with fewer cycles per minute. One print per cycle.

Questions buyers ask about the FX-450
Can the FX-450 print full rotary as well as intermittent?
Yes. In intermittent mode the repeat is variable from 20 to 460 mm. In full rotary mode the repeat is fixed at the cylinder circumference, 577.85 mm for the 182T cylinder. Each machine has one cylinder size, specified when you order.
How fast does it run?
Up to 12,000 prints per hour at 200 rpm for repeats up to 300 mm. Longer repeats run at the 60 m/min line-speed limit, for example about 9,000 per hour at 400 mm and 7,800 per hour at 460 mm. Full rotary runs at up to 80 m/min. Actual speed depends on substrate, ink, plate and die-cut conditions.
What power supply and floor space does it need?
The main machine needs 3 phase 200V, 40 kVA and the LED UV dryer 3 phase 220V, 21 kVA. The press measures 9,050 x 1,500 x 1,900 mm (L x W x H) and weighs 6,200 kg net.
